Welcome Message from our Chief of Pediatrics
On behalf of our entire department and care teams, welcome to Kaiser Permanente East Bay Pediatrics! Since 1957, we have prioritized resident education through our unique and diverse learning environment. Congratulations on choosing pediatrics; there is no more exciting field in medicine today, and our children and families need us more than ever.
Our academic tertiary medical center offers a comprehensive range of training opportunities. We lead with a value-based care model for outpatient pediatric care and integrated services with our pediatric tertiary hospital.
Kaiser Permanente’s Pediatric program provides outstanding general pediatric experiences in primary care clinics and hospital services. Our dedicated faculty in outpatient, inpatient, subspecialty, surgical, emergency, and critical care disciplines are committed to delivering a comprehensive educational experience. We partner with the community to offer diverse clinical care settings and address social determinants of health. Our clinical and research programs, led by enthusiastic faculty and mentors, are committed to academic excellence and advocacy for children’s health, influencing health policy at state and national levels.
Our program fosters a culture of collegiality, listening, feedback, flexibility, and fun, supporting each resident’s unique talents and creativity. We emphasize collaborative learning, best practices, and continuous improvement. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures all residents feel safe and supported.
We are proud of our faculty and resident accomplishments and look forward to continued growth and success. We wish you the best as you embark on this exciting career path in pediatrics, confident that your residency at Kaiser Permanente East Bay Pediatrics will position you as an outstanding clinical pediatrician and a future leader in child healthcare.
