KPNC Residency Programs Work Hours Self Reporting

If you feel that you have violated the Work Hours requirements, as defined by the ACGME and detailed in the KP Resident Policy & Procedure Manual, please complete and submit the following form. This form will be sent confidentially and directly to the KP Director of Graduate Medical Education.

- Duty hours must be limited to 80 hrs/week, averaged over a 4-week period, inclusive of all in-house call and moonlighting activities.
- Resident must be provided with 1 day in 7 free from all educational and clinical responsibilities, averaged over a 4-week period, inclusive of call.
- Adequate time for rest and personal activities must be provided, and consist of 10 hours between all daily duty periods and after in-house call.
- Continuous on-site duty, including in-house call, must not exceed 24 hours, plus 6 additional hours for didactic activities, etc.
