Olga Ramm is the FPMRS Fellowship Program Director and recently took on the role of The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) Regional Chief of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. She joined KP East Bay in 2013 after completing her FPMRS fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago following OB/Gyn residency at Northwestern. Her research interests include surgical outcomes, birth trauma, and patient counseling and consent. She places great value and emphasis on surgical teaching.

About
Donna Deng earned a medical degree at the University of California, Davis, followed by internship and residency in urology at UCSF. She then completed a fellowship in pelvic reconstructive surgery, neurourology and urodynamics at UCLA. She was an Associate Professor in the UCSF Department of Urology for the past 10 years. While at UCSF, she was involved in developing the use of stem cells to treat urinary incontinence. She has recently joined Kaiser Oakland’s Department of Urology and is the Lead for Neurourology for Kaiser Northern California. Dr. Deng's clinical expertise includes neurourology, urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, complex pelvic reconstruction and genitourinary fistula repair. Her expertise in complex pelvic reconstructive cases and mesh complications has drawn referrals from California and neighboring states. Dr. Deng's current research interests lie in Neurourology. Her other passion is patient education its effects on quality of care. She is the Chairman of the Board of NAFC, the largest consumer advocacy organization that provides unbiased information to health care providers and patients with pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Deng has a master’s degree in global health and has worked in the Philippines, Kenya and Tanzania, training local surgeons and healthcare workers in the care of patients.

Suskind, MD MS is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) who specializes in Neurourology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She has funding from the NIDDK, NIA, and SUFU, to explore the effects of frailty and aging on outcomes of urologic surgery and treatments for overactive bladder. Her research aims to improve the decision-making process for older adults undergoing urologic surgery and other treatments for benign urologic conditions.

Abner Korn, MD is a Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at UCSF where he has worked since 1990. He is Director of Gynecology at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and divides his time between there, Mission Bay and Mount Zion campuses of UCSF. His current areas of research include outcome of obstetric fistula repair in East Africa and surgical skills education, especially in low resource settings. He is an active participant in surgical skills education, and the global health activities of the OB/GYN department at UCSF.

Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Dr. Berger specializes in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. He received his B.A. with Distinction in Psychology as a member of Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina, and his combined M.D. and M.P.H from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine/Global Health. He then completed his residency in OB/GYN at Thomas Jefferson University and FPMRS fellowship at the University of California/Kaiser San Diego. He is passionate about teaching fellows and serving the Spanish speaking population of San Francisco. He serves as an advisor to the Fellows Pelvic Research Network of AUGS/SGS and has several leadership roles throughout AUGS and SGS. His research interests include value-based care and surgical quality enhancement in FPMRS, enhanced recovery after surgery, and patient satisfaction improvement.
