The Essential Skills for Clinical Leadership course builds on the foundational Residents as Educators workshop for PGY1s. One of the most important and most challenging aspects of the PGY-2 (and beyond) year role is that of team leader. This workshop is designed to build and hone the core leadership skills that are necessary during residency. Participants will learn essential leadership skills, how to ask effective questions, and how to lead with empathy. The workshop will be engaging and interactive including reflective exercises, video reviews, small-group discussions, and roleplays.
