The Chief Resident Leadership Course is an immersive, skills-based program designed to support incoming chief residents and fellows in their transition from trainee to peer leader. The course emphasizes self-awareness, communication, conflict navigation, systems leadership, and sustainability, with practical tools that can be applied immediately in the chief role.

Participants will engage in a combination of brief didactics, guided reflection, case-based discussion, and small-group work. Small-group “Chief Cohorts” will be used throughout the day to promote psychological safety and peer learning, with an intentional cohort transition in the afternoon to allow for specialty-aligned discussion.
