Kaiser Permanente East Bay Academy of Medical Educators
The Academy’s mission is to champion an organizational culture that advances Academic Medicine within the East Bay and supports the development of physicians with a commitment to education and scholarship. Our goal is to advance the delivery of patient care through teaching and research with an emphasis on service, diversity, and innovation. 
Founded in 2013, the EB AME has over 80 members across 35 specialties and partners with KP Academies in San Francisco and Santa Clara in collective advancement of the academic mission throughout TPMG. Academy members also serve as mentors to residents, students and other teachers interested in developing as educators.
Membership in the Academy
Membership in the Academy is offered to physicians who have demonstrated experience and commitment to our mission through direct teaching experience, broader contributions to education or curricular development, grants and peer-reviewed research, and scholastic engagement in the arenas of community health, diversity and outreach. Benefits of Academy membership include:
