Outdoors
Outdoor recreation is one of the East Bay’s greatest attractions. Popular destinations include Redwood Regional Park, Joaquin Miller Park, Tilden Regional Park, Lake Chabot Regional Park, Mount Tamalpais, Point Reyes National Seashore, and the numerous trails and shoreline parks surrounding the Bay. Living in Oakland provides convenient access to some of Northern California’s most iconic destinations. Fellows can spend weekends exploring San Francisco’s neighborhoods and waterfront, wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma, or hiking in Marin County.
Fellow Community & Social Events
Our fellows enjoy a close-knit and supportive community both inside and outside the hospital. Recent social events have included welcome dinners, holiday gatherings, and the ever-popular annual hot wings night.
