Recently, Dr. Aysha Khoury shared about her suspension from the KP School of Medicine. It is critical that such concerns are thoroughly and objectively investigated. While we are not privy to the details of the current investigation, we want to reaffirm our commitment to continually build an inclusive, respectful, and equitable culture for all our learners, faculty, and staff. As an organization committed to racial and social justice, we acknowledge and denounce the many recent examples of the inequity and social injustice that persist in our country. Our pursuit to dismantle systemic racism includes ensuring that all stakeholders in our own organization be engaged in a comprehensive and dynamic process. This requires a daily and unwavering commitment that permeates every aspect of medical education, clinical work, and community engagement.
